WWE is full of little tidbits from fan signs to little things inserted backstage during those scenes. Sometimes they can provide interesting little Easter eggs for the fans at home. It turns out one hidden little gem was actually placed for a very obvious and strategic reason.
Some fans might have missed this, but we certainly reported on it when it went down. But the officer who was reading Baron Corbin his rights and then decided not to actually arrest the acting Raw GM for filing a false police report was someone who had a very close relationship with The Shield already.
It was noted in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that the officer named Ambrose was put there on purpose by WWE to give fans the idea that Dean Ambrose was related to the cop for some reason. The cop had “G Ambrose” on his name tag and it was right in the shot. It is said the idea was that Dean and his relative worked together against the Lone Wolf in this collusion.
It was said the officer on the inside was working to swerve Corbin into making this decision and granting Seth and Dean a Raw Tag Team Title match at Hell In A Cell. They lost that match though, so it’s unlikely the plan really worked as The Shield had envisioned.

I love pro wrestling and hate BS. These two things drive me. Years of experience in writing, journalism, and digging exclusive insider info for Ringside News. Worked in finance before realizing pro wrestling journalism made much less sense. Pro beachballs at pro wrestling shows, pro dives if someone catches, anti bullies, olives, and pineapples on pizza.
