Jonathan Coachman returned to WWE after WrestleMania 34, but it looks like his time at the announce desk getting high fives from John Cena is over. He will now be seen as host of the kickoff shows as Renee Young takes his spot.
But the former Sportscenter host isn’t sweating it at all. He knows that change can be a good thing, even if it seems like a demotion. After all, he’s still Jonathan Coachman.
“A sincere congratulations to Renee Young for a much deserved move to the table on Raw. To be part of a team means understanding your strengths and using them to help the team grow. I have always embraced with positivity any role asked of me,” Coach tweeted concluding with saying: “That will not change.”
It was a pretty classy tweet at a time like this. Renee Young did work hard to earn her spot and now it’s time for the Raw announce team to grow with her as a member instead of Coachman.

I love pro wrestling and hate BS. These two things drive me. Years of experience in writing, journalism, and digging exclusive insider info for Ringside News. Worked in finance before realizing pro wrestling journalism made much less sense. Pro beachballs at pro wrestling shows, pro dives if someone catches, anti bullies, olives, and pineapples on pizza.
