The Bludgeon Brothers captured the SmackDown Tag Team Titles as they intimidated crowds with their awfully big hammers. But Rowan was recently put out of action and they had to drop the titles to The New Day.
Harper recently appeared at an NXT house show where he lost to Ricochet, but he still impressed everyone who was there. Bryan Alvarez noted on Wrestling Observer Live that Harper made the NXT show because it was a hometown date for him, but we should expect to see him make more appearances in the meantime while he waits for Rowan’s return.

“They sent Luke Harper to NXT. It’s not like he’s being sent down to NXT like he’s being demoted but the [Rowan] is on the shelf. They had him do the Buffalo New York show because he lives in Buffalo. They’re probably going to have him do some other NXT shows in the meantime.”

Only time will tell if the Bludgeon Brothers can make a comeback, but Rowan’s injury took place at an awful time just when they were on top once again. But they’ve been separated due to injury before. Let’s just hope they can use Harper and everything he brings to the table in the meantime.
