WWE Planning Fan Festival For SummerSlam In Toronto

SummerSlam is coming to Toronto next year and plenty of Canadian fans and people who love flying into Canada are very excited about the news.

Joe Peisich said on the latest installment of Barnburner’s Fired Up podcast that WWE is testing the waters for Mania in Toronto by holding a big fan festival before next year’s SummerSlam event.

“I don’t know if anybody has reported this you know SummerSlam is coming to Toronto. August 10th for NXT, August 11th SummerSlam, August 12th Raw, August 13th SmackDown. But they will have a fan festival sort of a fan Axxess from what I hear Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday at The Metro Toronto Convention Centre.”

“If it goes well they are going to take that as sort of a stepping stone to get WrestleMania,”

Let’s see if the Toronto fans can impress WWE enough to get WrestleMania down the line. After all, it is a pretty big city with a good airport and that really helps.
