WWE has raised some eyebrows with fans on social media after it was revealed the company has filed trademarks in the United States for a number of wrestlers on the main roster and down in NXT.

Specifically, with the NXT Superstars, many fans now have the belief the trademarks are an indication of a potential call-up within the next few months, as many of the Superstars in NXT don’t reportedly have their names or likeness trademark until their future in the company is cemented.

Specifically, with NXT, there have been trademarks filed for Kyle O’Reilly and Bobby Fish of The Undisputed Era, who are the current NXT Tag Team Champions. The current NXT Women’s Champion Kairi Sane and the former NXT Women’s Champion in Shayna Baszler both also had trademarks filed.

It is interesting WWE filed for these trademarks, as it doesn’t appear any of the wrestlers are ready for the main roster as they are all in the Championship scene. We speculate that it was more of a protection move for their Champions down in NXT.

Also of note, PWInsider confirmed Mike Kanellis, Sarah Logan, Mandy Rose, Sonya Deville, Killian Dain, Alexander Wolfe, Bobby Lashley and Corey Graves also had trademarks filed. Additionally, an ECW trademark was filed for clothing purposes.

Do you see The Undisputed Era, Kairi Sane or Shayna Baszler joining the main roster any time soon? What brands do you expect to see them working for? Let us know your thoughts and reaction in the comments below.
