SummerSlam is always a big show, but for the past 4 years, WWE has housed the show at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York. Now it looks like they’re looking to move out of New York for SummerSlam, maybe because they’re coming right back for WrestleMania, but for whatever reason, it looks like they’re moving out of the United States altogether for next year’s big show.

Joe Peisich from Barnburner’s Fired Up podcast said WWE is looking at Toronto and they may be announcing the big news when they roll into Toronto soon for Raw and there are plans to have a WWE Day in the city. But the bigger news could be where WWE plans on holding their big event next Summer.

“It may be held at formerly SkyDome now Rogers Centre. If that is true, look for 65,000 next year at SummerSlam.”

If you’re doing the math, Toronto’s Rogers Centre (SkyDome) is a pretty big deal for WWE history because it is the building that housed WrestleMania 6 and 18 and both events involved huge matches for Hulk Hogan with The Ultimate Warrior and The Rock respectively.
