WWE’s big all-female pay-per-view is going to be groundbreaking, but the date is very interesting. October 28th will be a good date for this event and it was noted in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that this date was picked after the Boston show was decided not to be a pay-per-view event.

The curious thing is why WWE picked New York for the Evolution pay-per-view instead of using a time and building already booked for a WWE Network Special. The thinking could be that they want to make an even bigger impression on the New York market before ROH and NJPW has a chance to promote their MSG show.

“I’m not sure why they didn’t just put this show on the Boston date. Perhaps they wanted to announce a big show in the New York market before ROH/NJPW put tickets on sale for their Madison Square Garden show.”

Only time will tell how ROH’s MSG show and WWE’s Evolution turns out. But it looks like WWE could have been thinking very strategically when considering the location for their big groundbreaking event.

I love pro wrestling and hate BS. These two things drive me. Years of experience in writing, journalism, and digging exclusive insider info for Ringside News. Worked in finance before realizing pro wrestling journalism made much less sense. Pro beachballs at pro wrestling shows, pro dives if someone catches, anti bullies, olives, and pineapples on pizza.
