Chris Jericho is enjoying life as a rock star with Fozzy and a New Japan star when he wants to make one of those matches happen. He might not be coming back to WWE soon because he has a very unique situation. Then again, you never know what he will do next.

Dave Meltzer recently brought up Jericho on Wrestling Observer Radio. He said Y2J has a unique deal because he doesn’t want to upset WWE. But he also wants to keep doing what he’s doing as well.

“He’s an interesting one because Chris Jericho is — it looks like Mysterio is going back to WWE. It’s just the deal’s not signed as of yet and in fact he’s even doing another New Japan date. Right now he’s still All In and he probably will be All In no matter what I think he’s pretty adamant about not missing that date.”

“But Jericho I don’t expect to sign with WWE. I mean he may but I think he’s got a deal with New Japan for whatever it is another date or two or maybe more. I know he’s very with New Japan, happy he’s got a lot more freedom there.”

Jericho doesn’t want to burn any bridges with WWE. But he also might not want to come back just yet. Because New Japan is doing pretty well by him at this point.

It was also noted that the reason why Chris Jericho was pulled from the Greatest Royal Rumble match against The Undertaker is that he found out about Y2J’s scheduled match against Naito.
