The Latest Regarding Hiromu Takahashi’s Broken Neck

We reported earlier in the week that top NJPW Superstar Hiromu Takahashi suffered broken neck at the G1 Special USA. The Superstar was rushed to the hospital after he collapsed backstage.

NJPW has now provided their fans with an update on Takahashi’s condition. Apparently, Takahashi was flown back to Japan and reached his home country earlier today.

The treatment for his broken neck will now commence.

Here’s the official statement provided by the NJPW website:

On July 7, during the G1 Special in San Francisco event, Hiromu Takahashi sustained a neck injury and was taken to a San Francisco hospital for evaluation.

Takahashi was able to return to Japan today, and will proceed with treatment. We apologize for the delay in publishing this update, which was in order to ensure smooth and efficient transit for Takahashi at the airport. We deeply appreciate our fans’ concerns.
