NXT might be headed FS1 because the deal is reportedly done we’re just waiting for an announcement. Now it looks like there will be an even bigger change to future TakeOver shows as well.

Dave Meltzer opened up about this latest change to NXT TakeOver during Wrestling Observer Radio. While it’s not certain when these changes will take place, it’s expected that the TakeOver before Survivor Series is definitely going to see some kind of change.

“So WWE NXT is going to be starting an hour earlier. I don’t know if the next TakeOver, the Brooklyn show I don’t know that Brooklyn is starting earlier. I’ll try to get that confirmed in the next couple of days. But I know the Los Angeles show is starting 1 hour earlier, 7 o’clock eastern which is 4 o’clock local time.”

“The idea is the shows will be under 3 hours that they will be over at 10. Usually, these shows are under 2 1/2 hours. The idea is not to lengthen the shows but based on the history of the changes in WWE that weren’t supposed to lengthen the shows and did lengthen the shows I think it’s probably going to end up the same thing.”

It was noted that NXT TakeOver shows are the perfect length although an extra hour even won’t water down the show much. “It’s just a move they’re making,” Meltzer said. It looks like we’re probably in for way more changes down the line.
