SAnitY had their long-awaited debut on SmackDown Live this week, where they fought with The Usos to kickstart their career on the main roster. As we have reported in the past, Nikki Cross did not make the journey up with them, but she is expected to do so in the future.

According to Fightful, Corey Graves, Byron Saxton, and Tom Phillips were all told they couldn’t mention or even reference NXT during the debut. This was by design, likely in an attempt to distance the characters from developmental to seem more chaotic.

While in NXT, SAnitY captured the NXT Tag Team Championship and was at one point the NXT tag team of the year, according to WWE themselves in their year-end awards for the show.

It is unknown moving forward whether there will be any reference to NXT made for SAnitY, though fans familiar with the product will be familiar with the three gentlemen who debuted this week.

Killian Dain, Alexander Wolfe and Eric Young all look to be bound for success on the main roster as a feud with former SmackDown Tag Team Champions The Usos seems to be kicking off.

Do you like the idea that NXT isn’t referenced? Should it be, and why? Sound off in the comments below.
