Charlotte Flair failed to reclaim her title at last night’s Backlash as she lost to the current champion Carmella. The Queen lost the match thanks to a buckled knee that Carmella took advantage of.

After her match, Charlotte revealed in an interview that this loss will serve as a lesson to her. She gave props to Carmella before warning her to be ready for what’s next:

So earlier I definitely thought I was going to reclaim my throne. But as everyone saw, my knee buckled and I am gonna give credit where credit is due. Carmella beat me and she was the woman tonight. But if you know me, I don’t like being second, I like being number one. I wanna be the best.

So that means that this isn’t a mistake, its a lesson. And I am gonna come back, what’s the saying, bigger, faster, stronger? So she better be ready.

The Queen then went on to say that she will surely reclaim her throne very soon. She then challenged Carmella to maintain her position as the top woman:

I truly believe that [the SmackDown Women’s Title] is mine. And I will reclaim my throne.

And Carmella better be ready because this is just one match. I will say this, its harder to stay on the top than to be on the top. If anyone knows that, its me.
