CM Punk and WWE aren’t done yet because they still have a day in court due to a $1 million defamation lawsuit.

We previously reported that Punk’s trial with WWE is set to go to court on May 21st but it turns out the case has a date much sooner than that.

According to court documents obtained by Ringside News, there is a pretrial court date set for May 5th at 1:30 pm where Punk and Colt Cabana’s summary judgement will be heard.

This is an attempt to seek a conclusion without going to trial. A judgement like this is usually issued if they can discredit an entire case or merits for that case.

I love pro wrestling and hate BS. These two things drive me. Years of experience in writing, journalism, and digging exclusive insider info for Ringside News. Worked in finance before realizing pro wrestling journalism made much less sense. Pro beachballs at pro wrestling shows, pro dives if someone catches, anti bullies, olives, and pineapples on pizza.
