Paul Heyman’s position in the company could be up in the air if Brock Lesnar decides to leave WWE for UFC.

The belief is Heyman may not want to go back to working weekly television shows if WWE decides on pairing him with another wrestler. Lesnar’s deal with WWE was perfect for Heyman as it allowed him to take a significant amount of time off and work a much lighter WWE schedule.

While has been talk of possibly pairing up Ronda Rousey with Heyman, it remains to be seen if WWE wants him mixing it up with Stephanie McMahon as that is a situation they have kept him away from in the past.

As previously reported, Dave Meltzer mentioned on Wrestling Observer Radio WWE is booking the program as a modern day version of the Stone Cold vs. Mr. McMahon feud and the babyface is likely going to be getting the better of the heel for much of its duration. Heyman wouldn’t be a good fit for this current storyline as his long promos would take the spotlight away from Rousey and also make him appear “smarter” than the McMahons, which is very unlikely to happen.
