No Deal In Place for Rey Mysterio’s WWE Return

Dave Meltzer reported in the latest issue of The Wrestling Observer Newsletter that there is still no deal in place with Rey Mysterio’s return to WWE at the moment.

Mysterio is scheduled to have a meeting with Triple H to discuss a deal very soon and that is based upon Triple H clearing his schedule. Mysterio will be looking for very different deal outside of the norm. He’s not looking to work full-time at this point and there are also questions about opportunities outside of wrestling.

Mysterio was at the February 26th house show in San Diego but all the key people would have been at RAW in Anaheim the night, so it’s very unlikely that he worked out some sort of agreement there. PWInsider also shot down reports that Mysterio was at SmackDown the following night. This would further indicate that the John Cena vs. Mysterio rumor by Justin Barrasso of Sports Illustrated is indeed false.
