Dave Meltzer discussed Roman Reigns’ feud with John Cena in the latest issue of The Wrestling Observer Newsletter. According to Meltzer, if Reigns’ program with Cena is a multi-match program, then he speculates that Cena will win their match at Sunday’s No Mercy event. Meltzer mentioned that if the match is a one-and-done, then Reigns will go over.

Meltzer said that the idea for the feud is for Cena to endorse Reigns as the company’s next big star, a position they’ve been trying for years to have fans accept Reigns in.

It’s worth noting that Cena is not being advertised for the TLC pay-per-view event, which is the next RAW-brand pay-per-view event that takes place after their match at No Mercy. It’s being said that Cena is expected to take time off to fulfill his non-WWE obligations. If that is the case, Reigns will be going over at Sunday’s event.
