WWE has announced the return of the Starrcade event scheduled for November 25 in Greensboro, NC. The show, named after the famous NWA/WCW pay perview that ran from the mid-eighties until 2000, will feature SmackDown Live superstars in action the Saturday after Thanksgiving.

Starrcade returns to Greensboro, NC on Nov. 25! Tickets available Fri. 9/29, 10am ET on @Ticketmaster! #WWEStarrcade https://t.co/Z374xPBO6r pic.twitter.com/e1wirU02zG

— WWE (@WWE) September 18, 2017

Considering the timing of the event, the show will not be a typical pay per view event, as it takes place only a week after WWE Survivor Series and only a matter of weeks before SmackDown Live’s Clash of Champions event in December. It is possible the show could run on the WWE Network as an exclusive event similar to the Beast in the East 2015 show or the February 2016 Roadblock event.

Tickets for Starrcade go on sale September 29th.
