Matt & Jeff Hardy to Use the “BROKEN” Gimmick In WWE

The Hardy Boyz’ contract with Ring of Honor is set to expire on April 1st and will be free to return to WWE. It was previously reported that WWE has already offered them new contracts, however it’s unknown if they have reached a final agreement for their immediate return.

Lately on social media, WWE has been teasing The Hardy’s return to the company and referencing their “BROKEN” gimmick. The plan is for them to use that gimmick once they return to WWE, according to The Wrestling Observer Newsletter. At this time it’s not exactly known how they are going to pull that off legally. Matt & Reby Hardy claim they own the trademark but Impact has put “TM” all over it’s website and YouTube videos that feature the gimmick. Matt and Reby applied for the trademark back in February when they realized they would have to battle with Impact over the usage of their gimmick.

The Observer also noted that if Impact doesn’t back off it’s claims to the gimmick, The Hardys have grounds to file suit against the company.
