Maxwell Jacob Friedman, popularly known as MJF sent shockwaves across the entire AEW landscape with his shocking return on tonight’s AEW Double or Nothing pay-per-view to lay down a huge statement.

Before his arrival, Adam Cole made an appearance after the match between Will Ospreay and Roderick Strong. He discussed his recovery and reintroduced his Devil Mask. Just as he was about to lead his signature ‘Adam Cole Bay Bay’ chant, the lights went out and a video played, showing a corridor leading to a room filled with artifacts of a long-absent AEW star.

To everyone’s shock, MJF made his comeback, having been attacked by Cole and his faction at AEW Worlds Collide in December 2023. MJF entered the ring, seemingly to reconcile with Cole, but instead delivered a low blow and floored him.

As Cole was assisted from the ringside, MJF declared that Cole’s actions had awakened him. He then berated Cole’s Devil Mask, threw it into the crowd, and asserted his loyalty to AEW, vowing to bet on himself and stay with the company to reclaim the top spot.

The Salt of the Earth just minutes after coming back the curtain took to his X to send out his first remarks to fire some shots at possibly the locker room while alarming them that he has returned to take over the game one more time.

“Y’all were gagging on it with a smile on your face for 5 years straight, then pretended you didn’t like the taste? If I were you I’d grab some chapstick cuz I’m about to take over the game you love, AGAIN. #Betterthanyou.”

With MJF back in the fold, we will have to wait and see his next move as he is laser-focused on reclaiming his place at the top of the mountain in AEW.
