As news surfaces regarding the status of WWE Hall of Famer Mark Henry’s contract with AEW, CEO Tony Khan has stepped forward to address the impending expiration of Henry’s deal.

Henry, who transitioned to AEW in 2021 following a remarkable 25-year tenure with WWE, has made significant contributions to the promotion, serving in various roles such as coach, analyst, scout, mentor, and on-screen personality on AEW Rampage.

Reports earlier this week indicated that Henry’s contract with AEW is due to expire later this month, marking the culmination of his three-year association with the company.

During media call for AEW’s Double Or Nothing 2024 event, Tony Khan fielded questions about the status of Mark Henry’s contract. In response, Khan expressed his admiration for Henry both personally and professionally, highlighting Henry’s multifaceted talents and contributions to AEW.

“I really like Mark,” Khan remarked. “We have to look at that internally as far as the contract and dates, but I think Mark is a great person and I really personally like him. He’s a great media personality as well as being a great wrestler and a great philanthropist and I have a ton of respect for Mark. I have a lot of respect for him in and out of the ring.”

As speculation mounts regarding Henry’s next career move, it remains uncertain whether he will opt to renew his contract with All Elite Wrestling or explore opportunities elsewhere in the wrestling landscape. With Henry’s future hanging in the balance, fans eagerly await further developments in this ongoing saga.
