Cassie Lee, formerly known as Peyton Royce in WWE, once held the tag team championship. After taking an indefinite hiatus to give birth to her son, she made a highly anticipated return to the ring last year. Recently, she disclosed previously scrapped plans that involved The Bella Twins.

Cassie Lee and Jessica McKay were released by WWE back in 2021 and they have not been associated with the company ever since. Despite all the drawbacks, the duo did manage to have a memorable run in WWE.

In a recent interview conducted by D.S. Shin of Ring The Belle, Cassie Lee revealed that WWE had plans for her and Jessica McKay to have a longstanding storyline with The Bella twins that would have started at WrestleMania and culminate at SummerSlam, but the plans were ultimately scrapped.

“All I know is that we were supposed to go into a story apparently from WrestleMania to SummerSlam. That’s all I know. Yeah, I know. That would have been a dream come true for us. But everything happens for a reason.”

Cassie Lee also recently made it clear she is open to making her WWE return at the Royal Rumble. Regardless, we’ll have to wait and see what the future holds for both Cassie Lee and Jessica McKay.
