Buff Bagwell, who gained fame in WCW before a less successful stint in WWE, has faced significant personal challenges, particularly with substance abuse. Nevertheless, he recently achieved a milestone by winning his first title in five years.

Buff Bagwell is best known for his decade-long stint in World Championship Wrestling from 1991 to 2001. Following WCW’s closure, he had a brief run in WWE in 2001. Now, 23 years later, at the age of 54, Bagwell has become a champion once again.

Teaming up with Big John Dalton, he won the Memphis Wrestling Tag Team titles. They defeated Lord Gaston & Sir Matthew for the win. The last time Bagwell held a title was in 2018 when he defeated LT Falk to win the Mayhem Heavyweight title.

Earlier this year Buff Bagwell had major surgery, so it’s great to see that he is clearly in good health again since he is now a champion. We’ll have to see how he will be booked as the Memphis Wrestling Tag Team Champion in the coming months.
