Ivar Says Viking Persona Is More Than a Gimmick

In the world of professional wrestling, few personas have captured the attention of fans like that of the Viking Raiders in WWE. Led by Ivar and Erik, these fierce warriors have not only dominated the tag team scene but also brought a unique flavor to the ring with their Viking personas.

In a recent interview with TV Insider, Ivar discussed what it means to carry the Viking persona. Ivar revealed that they draw inspiration from various Viking movies and TV shows to further expand their characters. He explained that being a Viking extends beyond just a character role.

“We watch every Viking movie and TV show that comes out. Just to be able to create and expand on what we see. We want to take things we see and morph them into whatever we want it to be for our characters. A lot of people may hate it, but it’s cool to us that we have this gimmick and nobody else does. We are the sole gimmick in WWE right now really, so it’s fun to play with that and do Viking things,”

Meanwhile, as they continue to navigate their WWE careers, the Viking Raiders remain committed to embracing their characters while bringing their unique brand of entertainment to audiences worldwide. With Erik sidelined due to injury, Ivar has continued to embrace their Viking identity in the ring. It remains to be seen what WWE has planned for them next!
