While WWE is gearing up for King and Queen of The Ring Tournament 2024, the world has still not been able to stop talking about the main event of WrestleMania 40. While Cody Rhodes’ championship win was the biggest story in itself, the massive appearances from Seth Rollins, The Rock, John Cena, and The Undertaker made things sweeter.

While everything was carried out smoothly, fans could spot the Undertaker running backstage while the lights went out. The Deadman seemed a bit slower than he usually is, getting caught running back right when the light came back. However, this won’t hide the fact that The Undertaker turned out to be the biggest surprise of the night.

Speaking on a recent episode of the Busted Open Radio, The Deadman revealed that his appearance was an idea Triple H pitched and his biggest question was his addition to the story which was about to be finished. While he was questioning his addition, he stated that he wanted to be a part of the show someway or the other and got the news on Sunday that he was going to make a surprise appearance.

“Is everyone on board with that because you run the risk of being a huge distraction to something that’s been 2 years in the building.”

While he wasn’t a part of the story at any point in time, his appearance came about to be perfect with him being excited to be the massive surprise.

“I look at it like this. Some people will probably question my business acumen and my business sense. WWE has been so good to me. I’m there. It wasn’t about me. I felt like once I heard what they wanted to do, this makes sense. This is a complete Dusty finish. If you want me to do it, I’m there for ya. I didn’t need to hold anybody up over any money because my goodness. That being said, if I had known how far I was gonna have to run to get into position, now that might have changed the whole equation. I don’t know if they could have paid me enough. Holy crap, I got these new knees. I’ve worked out and I’ve hiked but I haven’t run on them and I had to run through the bowl of the field there and trying to be elusive and not be seen. I looked like a freakin’ giraffe running through there to get to the spot.”

The Undertaker’s appearance clearly turned out to be a massive booster for the success of WrestleMania 40. However, it is clear that the Deadman is not physically ready to come back to the squared circle anytime soon. Ringside News will keep you updated with the latest stories about WWE.
