GUNTHER Says Everything Went As Planned After 5/6 WWE RAW Triumph

GUNTHER and Sheamus have a longstanding rivalry, dating back to their 2022 Clash at The Castle epic and subsequent WrestleMania 39 bout. The feud continued on RAW this week where GUNTHER won and now he has made it clear everything went according to plan.

During this week’s episode of Monday Night RAW, GUNTHER and Sheamus had their trilogy fight to determine who would advance in the King of The Ring tournament.

Fans who remembered their epic encounter in Cardiff, Wales two years ago expected another classic, and the two superheavyweights didn’t disappoint. They exchanged punishing blows and executed their signature moves with bone-crunching intensity, creating another ‘Match of the Year’ contender. The referee evened the odds by ejecting Ludwig Kaiser from ringside after he was caught interfering, ensuring the bout’s integrity.

The ending came when GUNTHER applied a half-Boston crab to Sheamus’ already injured leg, causing the crowd to break into “This is Awesome” chants. Despite his best efforts to fight through the pain, Sheamus eventually had to submit, giving The Ring General the victory. With this win, GUNTHER advances in the King of the Ring tournament, moving one step closer to claiming the prestigious title in Saudi Arabia.

As seen in a video uploaded by WWE’s official Instagram, GUNTHER and Ludwig Kaiser were speaking backstage as GUNTHER noted that everything went according to plan after his victory over The Celtic Warrior.

”What I just said was today’s one of those days where everything worked out, just as planned.”

We will have to wait and see whether The Ring General will end up winning the King of The Ring tournament, as fans definitely want to see GUNTHER continue to get more accolades.
