Drew McIntyre has gained significant popularity in recent months, not just for his in-ring performance, but also for his sharp social media presence, where he’s known to roast other wrestlers like CM Punk and Seth Rollins. Despite his loss at WrestleMania 40, McIntyre has continued to up his trolling game, once again targeting CM Punk.

The feud between McIntyre and Punk reached a new level at WrestleMania 40 when CM Punk attacked McIntyre after his match with Seth Rollins, creating an opening for Money in the Bank winner Damian Priest to cash in his briefcase and claim the title. This betrayal not only cost McIntyre the championship but also fueled his determination to exact revenge on Punk.

While speaking to Daily Star, when asked to compare CM Punk to a Scottish soccer club, Drew McIntyre, a devoted Rangers fan, compared The Second City Saint to the Inverness Caledonian Thistle, as they always hurt themselves and get injured.

“What’s a team that just constantly has players that hurt themselves and get injured – Inverness Caledonian Thistle. I don’t know why they’re popping into my head. “I’m trying to think of a team that had a random bit of glory a couple of times and live off of that. That would be Celtic, wouldn’t it?”

Drew McIntyre and CM Punk also engaged in war of words on last week’s episode of Monday Night RAW. Regardless, it remains to be seen when Drew McIntyre and CM Punk will finally face each other in a singles match.
