It’s Wednesday night and you know what that means! AEW Rampage will go down tonight, and Ringside News has got you covered with live play-by-play results coverage for the May 1, 2024 episode.

AEW Rampage will start this week at 10:00 PM EST immediately following Dynamite and as always, match-by-match highlights and results from the show will take place on this very page. Feel free to leave any reactions in the comment section below. You can check out the lineup below.

AEW Rampage Results (5/1/2024):

The show opens up with Excalibur, “Daddy Magic” Matt Menard and Tony Schiavone welcoming us as we see medical personnel check on Kenny Omega after The Elite’s attack on him on AEW Dynamite just moments ago. Omega gets stretchered out of the ring and to the back. Omega then looks to get loaded into an ambulance, but Okada and The Young Bucks beat Dax Harwood down as Jack Perry attacks Cash Wheeler. Harwood is then sent crashing through the barricade and The Young Bucks push Omega off the stretcher.

We then get the entrances of the first match of the show, which is a Singles Match.

Singles Match: Unified AEW World Trios Champion Bullet Club Gold’s “Switchblade” Jay White vs. Top Flight’s Dante Martin

The match starts off with Dante Martin delivering some right hands on Jay White. Both men then spill out of the ring and continue to brawl before getting back in the ring. White then delivers some stomps on Martin in the corner, then follows it up with a chop and a tijeras. Both men then end up back on the outside and Martin hits White with another chop. Martin then hits White with an elbow and a tope suicida. Martin then hits White with a knee and gets him back into the ring. Martin then looks to fly off the top rope, but White trips him. White then hits Martin with a chop. Martin then responds with a dropkick and a series of chops, then clotheslines White out of the ring. Martin then gets White back inside, but White nails Martin with a chokeslam. Martin then hits White with a back elbow, but White responds with a couple of chops. Martin then hits White with elbows and chops, then follows it up with a moonsault off the top rope. White then hits Martin with a snap suplex and a Blade Runner for the win.

After the match, Jay White helps Dante Martin up, but suddenly hits him with a double underhook flatliner. White then gets out of the ring before Darius Martin and Action Andretti make their way to the ring.

We then head to the back, where “The Virtuosa” Deonna Purrazzo is being interviewed. Purrazzo asks when is enough, enough. Purrazzo then says after last week she is starting to feel like herself again. Purrazzo then says if Thunder Rosa wants to make this personal, then they can make it personal.

We then get a video package of “El Toro Blanco” RUSH, who returned this past week on AEW Collision.

Renee Paquette is then backstage with Big Bill. Bill says he wants to be under The Learning Tree of Chris Jericho because he has all the tools to make it to the top, just not the proper guidance. Bill then says Jericho is the one who can give him that guidance and take him to the promise land. Jericho then walks in and says he was able to retain his title tonight over Shibata because the fans cheered him on. Jericho then says Bill is right and he would love to take Bill into the Jericho Vortex. Bill then says he won’t let Jericho down. Jericho then calls Bill the Big Redwood by the Learning Tree’s side.

AEW World Champion Swerve Strickland is now in the back. Strickland says Christian Cage chose to team with him at All In because he knew what Strickland is capable of. Strickland then says it seems like Cage forgot so next week, they will have a chat and he can remind Cage. Strickland then says next week he won’t be alone.

We then get the entrances of the next match, which is a Singles Match.

Singles Match: Kyle O’Reilly vs. Rocky Romero

The match starts off with Kyle O’Reilly and Rocky Romero taking turns in locking submission holds on each other before O’Reilly hits Romero with a boot. O’Reilly then puts Romero in an Ankle Lock, but Romero fights his way out of it with a kick that sends O’Reilly crashing to the outside. Romero then follows it up with a tope suicida, then looks to hit a second one. O’Reilly then sees Romero coming and sends Romero crashing into the mat, then puts Romero in an Arm Bar. O’Reilly and Romero then take turns hitting kicks on each other’s thighs. O’Reilly then hits Romero with a clothesline before both men teeter on the ropes. Romero then sends O’Reilly crashing into the mat and goes for a pin, but O’Reilly kicks out. Romero then hits O’Reilly with more kicks, but O’Reilly responds with a knee on Romero’s face. O’Reilly then puts Romero in a Body Scissors, but Romero counters it into an Arm Bar. Romero then pins O’Reilly twice, but O’Reilly kicks out both times and rolls up Romero for the win.

We then head to the back, where Saraya and Harley Cameron are being interviewed. Both women take a shot on Mariah May and AEW Women’s World Champion “Timeless” Toni Storm about what happened tonight on Dynamite. Cameron then challenges May to a match on Dynamite next week. Saraya then scolds Cameron for rambling and says Storm doesn’t have to tell them to put their tits out because they already do and Saraya and Cameron walks off.

The Undisputed Kingdom is now being interviewed and AEW International Champion Roderick Strong is asked about his match with Will Ospreay at Double or Nothing. Matt Taven then calls Aura “not Lexy,” but she says it should be “not Renee” as he scolds her and puts over Neck Strong trending on social media last week. Strong then says the Aerial Assassin will need all the bullets in his chamber to defeat him. Strong then says at Double or Nothing Ospreay will fall to the Messiah of the Backbreaker.

We then get the entrances of the main event, which is the AEW TBS Championship Match.

AEW TBS Championship Manitoba Massacre Match: Willow Nightingale (c) vs. Skye Blue

The match starts off with Nightingale hitting Blue with a garbage can lid on Blue’s spine. Both women then end up in the crowd and continue brawling amongst the fans. Nightingale then exposes the top of one of the barricades, then sends Blue’s face bouncing off it. Blue then returns the favor, but Nightingale grabs a chair. Blue then climbs onto the barricade and flies, but Nightingale hits her with the chair and pins her on the floor and Blue kicks out. Nightingale then grabs several chairs from under the ring and sends them inside. Nightingale then sets up one of the chairs on the outside and hits Blue with a forearm, then sits her on the chair. Nightingale then hits Blue with an overhand chop, then goes for a senton. Blue moves out of the way and Nightingale is sent crashing into the chair.

Blue then grabs a garbage can lid from under the ring. Nightingale then hits Blue with a pounce on the outside that knocks the lid out of Blue’s hand, then gets Blue back in the ring and grabs a chair already inside. Nightingale then sets up the chair on Blue’s chest in the corner and charges at her, but Blue tosses the chair at Nightingale and hits her with a thrust kick. Blue then grabs a bag of tacks from under the ring and tosses them out. Blue then brawls with Nightingale in the corner and throws a chair at her head. Nightingale then jumps off the ropes on Blue to send Blue colliding with the pile of tacks. Nightingale then sets up a table on the outside, then bodyslams Blue onto a chair in the ring. Nightingale then climbs to the top and goes for a moonsault, but Blue rolls out of the way and Nightingale collides with the chair. Blue then grabs a barbed wire board from under the ring and sets it up on the table. Blue then brawls with Nightingale on the apron, but Nightingale hits Blue with a Doctor Bomb to send her crashing through the table and the board on the outside. Nightingale then gets the 1-2-3.

After the match, Kris Statlander and Stokely Hathaway make their way down to the ring to celebrate with Willow Nightingale and the show comes to a close.
