WWE Hall of Famer Eric Bischoff has consistently shown disdain for AEW, doubting its value to the professional wrestling world. Over the past couple of years, he has been vocal in his criticism of the promotion and Tony Khan has addressed his relationship with Eric Bischoff.

Eric Bischoff also set the record straight when it came to claims that he was mad Tony Khan never offered him job in AEW. Clearly, a lot of discourse between the two remained for a long time.

When asked about his relationship with Bischoff on K&C Masterpiece, Tony Khan addressed why there’s a rift between them. He acknowledged that both he and Bischoff have experienced success in wrestling, with their companies reaching international prominence, selling large numbers of tickets, and generating hundreds of thousands of pay-per-view sales. Despite these similarities, Khan pointed out that Bischoff’s podcast seems heavily focused on criticizing AEW and that his comments often lack rationality, logic, or truthfulness.

Khan expressed respect for Bischoff’s accomplishments with WCW, highlighting its significance in wrestling history. He also mentioned that both AEW and WCW have aired on TNT and TBS, showing a shared connection between them. However, Khan made it clear that he sees Bischoff’s criticism as inconsistent and not always based on facts.

”It’s an interesting question. There haven’t been that many wrestling companies that have risen to international prominence. There aren’t that many wrestling companies in modern history that have sold tens of thousands of tickets and hundreds of thousands pay-per-views. In that sense, Eric and I do have something in common. I do respect his accomplishments. He just has a show, a podcast, that is largely devoted to taking shots at us and a lot of it isn’t rational or logical or truthful. I don’t think those things seem to matter to him anymore. I do respect what he accomplished with WCW. It was a great company. In that sense, I do respect him. We’re on TNT and TBS, that’s something I have in common with Eric, there aren’t a lot of people that produced a lot of wrestling shows on TBS and TNT. That’s one thing we do have in common.”

Eric Bishoff also believes AEW is hopeless as long as Tony Khan is in charge. The ongoing feud between Tony Khan and Eric Bischoff shows no signs of ending soon. It remains to be seen whether they will ever reconcile, but for now, the feud appears to be ongoing with no resolution in sight.
