WrestleMania 40 was a total stunner and WWE managed to break a number of records throughout the week, ending up justifying it as the ‘Biggest WrestleMania of all-time’. However, WWE’s success has not just been seen at the Grandest Stage of them All. The company has been doing a brilliant job for months now.

Expanding their partnership with Fanatics after signing a new long-term deal with the company in April 2023, Fanatics assumed operations of the global event merchandise business. However, WWE also presented WWE World during WrestleMania season, thanks to their deal with Fanatics.

Addressing the success of WWE as a sport when compared to NFL and others, Fanatics CEO Michael Rubin, at a Sports Business Journal Press Conference, claimed that the WWE Business was insane. The executive was astonished to see the growth percent of the business associated with WWE when compared to the others.

“The biggest growth sport in my mind? Well, are we looking at percents, dollars? What’s wild, I’ll tell you honestly, what’s going on with WWE is insane. If I look at the growth in our WWE business, and it’s a big business already, it’s absolutely insane. NFL is a multi-billion dollar business. Baseball is a multi-billion dollar business. We look collectively within our overall business, if you talk about growth percent, what’s going on with WWE is spectacular.”
