Upcoming episodes of Rampage will present some challenges for All Elite Wrestling.

This week’s Rampage showcased a lineup including TBS Champion Julia Hart defending against Leyla Hirsch in an Open House match, Cool Hand Ang vs. Zak Knight, Jay White vs. Matt Sydal, and Orange Cassidy vs. Alex Reynolds.

However, due to TNT’s coverage of the NBA playoffs, AEW Rampage will face preemptions over the next month. This situation underscores one of the reasons why AEW shifted Dynamite to TBS a few years ago, aiming to avoid potential schedule changes or shifts to later timeslots due to NBA or NHL coverage.

The adjustments begin on Friday, April 19th, with the show moved to a later time slot at 10 PM following that evening’s AEW Collision from Peoria, IL. This will result in a three-hour block of AEW programming.

Moreover, TNT will be airing NHL Playoff doubleheaders on several Fridays, including April 26, May 3, May 10, and May 17th. As a consequence, Rampage will air at different timeslots on those weeks, although specific air times have not yet been announced.

What strategies do you think All Elite Wrestling could implement to navigate through the challenges posed by preemptions during the upcoming NBA and NHL playoffs? Share your thoughts and ideas in the comment section below!
