WrestleMania season has come to an end and the WWE Universe have acknowledged Triple H as one of the best content heads that the industry has ever seen. From high level storylines, to catering to the fans’ expectations, the Game has managed them all.

During a recent appearance on the Pat McAfee Show as a part of WWE World, Triple H addressed his mindset while hiring new talent in the company. The Game stated that numerous stars prefer other promotions against WWE for the lighter schedule they get working there.

“When I see people coming out of trying to make it, and then they pick a job where, well, they work less, the schedule is lighter, then I’m like, ‘I’m glad I didn’t pick you.’ If you’re not in it for the grind, at that point early in your career, you have no business being here.”

Will Ospreay was interviewed by Renee Paquette on the 4/10 AEW Dynamite episode when the Aeriel Assassin took a dig at the Game. Ospreay addressed Triple H’s comments of ‘not having the grind’ and claimed to be one of the hardest workers in the industry.

Ospreay also claimed that he was a part of some of the best matches in the industry’s history while making some headlines around the world. During the end of his interview, Ospreay also stated that Triple H was only in top position because of his relationship with Stephanie McMahon

“There’s this rumor going around, right? There’s this rumor that I’m afraid of the grind. I’ll be honest with you, I have no idea where this conversation has come from because I’m one of the only guys that are traveling every single week to the UK and America, 8, 10 hour flights every single week. I am delivering some of the best professional wrestling matches this world has ever seen, bruv. Normally, I wouldn’t rise to this type of bait but seeing as the guy that said it is only in the position he’s in because he was grinding on the boss’s daughter, you are in no position to tell me what the grind is all about my friend because you have no idea what I fight for. Let this be a painful jab back and a gentle reminder that you do not throw stones at an assassin with a machine gun.”

Will Ospreay took Triple H’s comments on hiring new talents very personally. While it is unknown if both men had a discussion before Ospreay signed with AEW, it would be interesting to see if this goes any further in the next few weeks. Ringside News will keep you updated with this story.
