Ahead of his World Heavyweight Championship match against Seth Rollins at WrestleMania 40, Drew McIntyre had a mishap as his ring gear was lost in transit. In fact, the mishap was 100% legitimate and a lot of effort was made to fix the issue.

When Drew McIntyre seized the WWE World Heavyweight Championship from Seth Rollins at WrestleMania 40, it marked a somewhat feel-good moment. Despite recent displays of heelish behavior, McIntyre had effectively underscored his significance to WWE throughout the pandemic era of shows, a narrative he continued to emphasize even as late as the WrestleMania pre-show.

However, McIntyre’s celebration was abruptly cut short as he turned his attention to taunting CM Punk at ringside. Their verbal exchange quickly escalated into a physical altercation, prompting the interest of Damian Priest. Seizing the opportunity, Priest cashed in his Money in the Bank briefcase for an immediate title shot. In a shocking turn of events, McIntyre’s championship reign came to an abrupt end, leaving fans stunned.

Ahead of the show, McIntyre noted that UPS lost his gear and then took a shot at CM Punk, making fans feel it was just him being in character. However, Jason Baker took to Twitter and confirmed it was 100% real and that his wife had to work till 6 AM in the morning to make new gear for McIntyre.

“His gear was legit lost. Not a work. You suck. My phenomenal wife left #WrestleMania40 Night One during the show, stayed up until 6 am, and had replacement gear ready before the start of Night Two. She’s an absolute legend! #proudhusband.”

Drew McIntyre is determined to get back the WWE World Heavyweight Championship somehow, so we will have to wait and see when he will finally be able to get his hands on Damian Priest.
