The Rock Issues Warning to Cody Rhodes on 4/8 WWE RAW

WrestleMania 40 is officially in the history books with Cody Rhodes rising to the occasion and dethroning the dominant Roman Reigns to end the most historic reign of perhaps, all time, win the Undisputed WWE championship, and finish his story.

The American Nightmare came on tonight’s edition of the RAW after WrestleMania 40, after being introduced by WWE CCO Paul “Triple H” Levesque who opened the show and labeled him as the man to lead the charge of the ‘Renaissance Era’ of WWE with over 20,000 people in attendance for the show.

As Cody Rhodes entered the ring, Triple H informed him and the WWE Universe that the company personnel back in the WWE studios made a special video package encircling his entire journey in the WWE up to the point of finishing the story to commemorate his astonishing title win last night at WrestleMania 40.

Cody Rhodes was visibly emotional after witnessing the video as he hugged Triple H while the crowd rightfully chanted ‘You deserve it.’ Rhodes began his address by reflecting on the events that led to his championship win and dream come true moment, taking a moment to shed love for his daughter and also showing respect for his fallen foe, Roman Reigns, and acknowledging his impressive title reign.

As he rallied the audience, Cody and the WWE Universe were met by the emergence of Roman’s cousin, The Final Boss, who pinned Rhodes on WrestleMania Saturday, The Rock. He confronted Cody Rhodes in the ring while berating the Philidelphia crowd who showered their heat and heckled The Great One as he tried to speak.

The Rock finally began to speak by congratulating Cody Rhodes on his title win, while also expressing his desire of wanting to hold Rhodes’ newly won championship. Rhodes agreed, only if he could hold The Rock’s People’s Championship title, with The Rock also in agreement and they exchanged the titles for a brief moment. As The Rock informed that he would be gone for a while, he let Rhodes know that he would be back for him, and their story was just beginning and ending the segment in a cryptic manner.
