For over a decade, Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn have shared intertwined careers, dating back to their time in ROH and PWG. Despite their success as Undisputed Tag Team Champions last year, their reign came to an unexpected halt. Kevin Owens recently confessed that he felt a sense of stagnation following their title victory.

Owens teamed up with Sami Zayn to secure victory over The Usos, claiming the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championship at WrestleMania 39. They maintained their title reign for 153 days until they were defeated by The Judgment Day’s Damian Priest and Finn Balor at Payback 2023.

While speaking to Sportskeeda Wrestling, Kevin Owens talked about winning the titles with Sami Zayn last year. The Prizefighter admitted that he felt nothing happened for a long time after winning the titles.

“Well, you know this year has been pretty interesting. You know we, me and Sami [Zayn] won the tag titles last year, that was huge and then after that it kind of felt like a whole bunch of nothing happened for a while but that’s just the nature of what we do, it’s very cyclical. But now to be in a match with Randy Orton at WrestleMania, you know, no disrespect to Logan Paul he’s there obviously but as a lifelong wrestling fan to be in the ring with Randy Orton at WrestleMania, that’s pretty special so, you know, it all ended up fine in the end.”

Kevin Owens is currently focused on his United States Championship match against Logan Paul and Randy Orton at WrestleMania 40, so we will have to wait and see who will prevail in the end.
