Rhea Ripley is taking precautions for her health ahead of WrestleMania XL, as she’s been spotted wearing a brace on her wrist. However, despite the necessity of the brace due to an old nagging injury, Ripley clarified that she doesn’t plan on wrestling with it at the event.

During an appearance on The Pat McAfee Show Live From WrestleMania XL, Ripley explained the reason behind the brace, stating that it’s to prevent further injury. She humorously acknowledged her tendency to be a bit reckless at times, prompting doctors to advise her to wear the brace to avoid worsening the injury.

“It’s an old thing. It’s been there for a couple of months and this is more so I don’t hurt myself more. The doctors, they know that I’m pretty irresponsible at times and I’m not gonna stop going to the gym and doing stupid things. So they’re like, ‘You are confined to a brace, my young girl, and you’re not allowed to take it off.'”

Regarding the brace’s presence at WrestleMania, Ripley revealed that she doesn’t intend to wrestle with it on. She shared her experience of attempting to wrestle with the brace during recent live event matches, noting its impracticality.

“I probably won’t wrestle in it because I tried to wrestle and it at a live event and… It’s not practical at all.”

Despite Ripley’s precautions, her opponent Becky Lynch seems undeterred by her injury. Lynch has made it clear that she’s gunning for blood at WrestleMania XL, signaling an intense showdown for the Women’s World Championship between the two fierce competitors.
