Cody Rhodes Prohibits Mother’s Bear Spray at WrestleMania 40

The rivalry between Cody Rhodes and his arch-rival, The Rock has seen multiple occasions when The Final Boss dragged Rhodes’ mother, Michelle Rubio into the mix on the road to WrestleMania 40 and even purchased an artistic painting for her as way to continue his mockery.

It seems like Mama Rhodes has listened to every word of The Rock and had plans to handle business on her own at The Show of Shows this coming weekend, only for her son Cody to ask her to dial it back.

During recent appearance on The TODAY Show, The American Nightmare was asked about The Great One bringing his mother into the mix on more than one occasion. Cody revealed that she had heard everything and had plans to bring her bear spray to WrestleMania, possibly to neutralize The Rock’s looming threat.

Cody Rhodes had to pull the plug on Mama Rhodes’ plan as it was not allowed under the guidelines of the WrestleMania 40 stadium venue i.e. Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia on April 6 and 7.

“You know it’s gotten somewhere when you’re bringing the moms [into it]. My mom told me she was gonna bring her bear spray [to WrestleMania]. I had to let her know you can’t bring that into the stadium. My mom hasn’t been part of wrestling. She married my dad when he was at the height of his fame with the industry. She’s seen all this. I don’t think Rock knows this, and I ain’t gonna be the one to tell him. My mom’s usually asleep when the show’s on. So she’s coming into WrestleMania week [in] Philadelphia probably [with] everyone wondering what she’s gonna do. Who knows? She’s the best, she’s seen it all. She’s perfect, she’ll be there in the front row. Rock ain’t getting nowhere near her, and if I could say anything about The Rock’s mom, lovely lady.”

Cody Rhodes and his partner Seth Rollins will battle The Rock and his cousin Roman Reigns in the main event of WrestleMania 40 Night 1. Following that, Rhodes will collide with Reigns for the Undisputed WWE Universal Title on Night 2 with Mama Rhodes being in attendance, hoping that her son claims his destiny and finishes the story.
