It’s a fact that WWE Superstars dedicate their bodies to entertaining fans, often enduring significant physical tolls throughout their careers. Unfortunately, there’s been a sad update regarding Dennis Knight, a wrestler who entertained millions during his time in the ring.

Over the years, wrestling fans have come to recognize Dennis Knight by various ring names, including Phineus Godwin and Mideon during his time in WWE, as well as Tex Slazenger during his stint in WCW.

Knight’s journey in professional wrestling began to take shape during his WWE career, where he portrayed Phineus Godwin. As one half of the Godwinns, alongside his partner Henry Godwinn, they captured the WWE Tag Team Championship in the mid-1990s. Following his partnership with Henry, Knight transitioned to the persona of Mideon, joining The Undertaker’s ominous faction known as The Ministry of Darkness.

The former WWE star took to Instagram to share a harrowing ordeal he recently faced. Dennis Knight revealed that he had been hospitalized for over a week, spending two days in the ICU, after being admitted due to stomach pain that ultimately led to surgery.

In his post, Knight detailed the severity of his condition, explaining that he underwent surgery after doctors discovered a shredded appendix, a hernia, and a golf ball-sized bladder stone that had caused significant damage to his stomach. Despite having his gallbladder removed years prior, Knight encountered unexpected complications. Additionally, he disclosed that his blood sugar levels were alarmingly high, reaching over 700, far above the normal range.

Reflecting on the experience, Knight expressed gratitude for his family’s support and emphasized the importance of cherishing loved ones and expressing gratitude to them and to God. He concluded by urging others to take care of themselves and to appreciate each day, as his near-death experience had profoundly affected him.

“Hi my name Is Dennis Knight and this week I almost died! Spent 8 days in the hospital and 48 hours in ICU…with everything I’ve done in my life I would have thought. Car accident ,OD or some other result of my my lifestyle! But no my body tried to kill me! I don’t like to talk about my personal life but thx I don’t need anything I have the greatest family who takes cares of me ! Starterted who stomach pain that was supposed to bowel obstruction then went in to surgery and found shredded appendix a hernia and golf size blades stone that tore my entire stomach up which is weird because I had gall balder removal years ago! My blood sugar should be 90 to 120 mine was over 700. The reason for this is to tell your family and God you love them because It might be the last! I love you all and want you to be happy so take care of yourself and after the worst week of my life I am great full to still be here and I love you all..thank you for your time 🥰”

We will have to wait and see what’s next for Dennis Knight but fans are certainly relieved that he pulled through such a harrowing experience.
