WWE Officially Adds Another Match To WrestleMania 40 Card

For months now, the Rey Mysterio and Santos Escobar saga has been entertaining fans with action. However, a match between both men hasn’t been able to end their feud. Rather, Dominik Mysterio has got involved to make sure that his father ends up on the losing side every time he had a match. 

On the 3/29 episode of Smackdown, Santos Escobar and Dominik Mysterio were confronted by the LWO and Rey Mysterio. The latter issued tag team match challenge against Escobar and Dominik for WrestleMania 40, announcing Dragon Lee to be his partner for the Grandest Stage of them All. 

While the challenge wasn’t answered on the blue brand, WWE made the match official during Smackdown LowDown, while Kayla Braxton interviewed the Hall of Famer and his tag team partner. This could be the final stop of action before Rey Mysterio and Santos Escobar end their feud and engage in other intriguing rivalries in the future. 

With the match confirmed, WWE now has an even more stacked up card for the Showcase of the Immortals. With Rey Mysterio and Dragon Lee on one side, it would be interesting to see how Carlito reacts to being left out from the official card for WrestleMania 40.
