CM Punk had his homecoming by returning to RAW just a few days before the grand spectacle, WrestleMania 40 in Philadelphia to finally reveal his plans for The Showcase of the Immortals set to go down in two weeks.

The Best in the World made his first appearance on tonight’s edition of the show, emanating from the All-State arena in his hometown of Chicago, Illinois after announcing his triceps injury back in January, which ruled him out of WrestleMania this year.

Punk acknowledged the immense support and loud chants raining down on him from his home turf as he grabbed the microphone to begin his verbal tirade. He started by making it clear that he would be at WrestleMania 40 and stated that there have been a lot of suggestions given to him regarding his role at The Show of Shows.

Switching gears, CM Punk turned his attention to the comments made by Roman Reigns about him on the Pat McAfee Show, his heated ongoing feud with Seth Rollins and even bringing up his rival from almost a decade, The Rock.

Finally, the former WWE champion mentioned the man who had been insulting him for weeks and was responsible for his injury, Drew McIntyre, who made his entrance right after that. Despite being injured, CM Punk called him out for a fight, but Drew continued to circle around the ring to recollect past events as the verbal back-and-forth went on between both men.

As it continued, Punk’s other heated rival and World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins, who is set to defend his title against Drew McIntyre at WrestleMania 40 also came out and decided to join the conversation. While Seth also questioned CM Punk’s role at WrestleMania, he minced no words to let him know no matter what he did in Philidelphia, he must not get in his way.

With that said Punk agreed to be on commentary for the match between Seth Rollins and Drew McIntyre and exited the ring. But Drew would not let him have the final word, only to have Seth Rollins lay him out with a kick and a brutal stomp to close the segment.

What are your thoughts on CM Punk being on commentary for Seth Rollins vs Drew McIntyre’s match at WrestleMania 40? Sound off in the comments!
