Vince McMahon Accused of Abusing WWE Creative Team

The wrestling industry has been rocked by serious allegations against Vince McMahon, a prominent figure in sports entertainment. Amidst the ongoing debate and controversy, including allegations of trafficking, McMahon now faces accusations of mistreating WWE writers.

On January 25th, Janel Grant, a former WWE staff member, initiated legal proceedings against WWE, John Laurinaitis, and Vince McMahon, alleging incidents of sexual assault, emotional abuse, and sex trafficking dating back to March 2019. These allegations have cast a dark shadow over McMahon’s reputation and sparked widespread condemnation within the industry.

During a recent episode of Story Time with Dutch Mantell, the veteran recalled Vince McMahon’s tendency to demand last-minute rewrites of the entire show just hours before broadcast. Mantell described McMahon’s behavior, noting that he would often berate the writers, using profanity and threatening to fire them if he didn’t like their ideas.

“See, it’s hard for me to believe that Vince McMahon, major owner of WWE, yet at the same time when creative would give him their ideas, he would say just say rewrite the thing.” Mantell continued, “Now these writers were having to rewrite everything in a matter of two hours. In case of RAW, that’s a three-hour show. Just because he was having a bad day or he didn’t like this or he didn’t like that. You would see those writers, they would be in a bad mood, well that’s why. Vince just cussed them all out in a meeting, told them they were stupid. He wasn’t beyond that. He’d call them stupid, ignorant and he should fire all of them. That would tend to put you in a bad mood. It would tend to put you in a mood where you didn’t feel very creative.”

Vince McMahon no longer has any vocal supporters in WWE either. Even wrestling legend Jim Ross weighed in on the situation, suggesting that it’s time to move on from McMahon’s allegations. We’ll have to see what will become of McMahon in the end.
