Swerve Strickland made an excellent transition from a mid-card attraction in WWE to top-caliber star in AEW in his run with the company and has expressed his desire to see Drew McIntyre in the leagues he is playing in.

During recent conversation with Bootleg Kev, Strickland stated that he would like to see The Scottish Warrior become a member of the AEW roster, amidst hearing about his current contract status with WWE.

Moreover, the owner of Swerve’s house also credited Drew McIntyre’s ability to adapt to any landscape which he demonstrated when his first run with WWE came to an end a few years ago.

“I would love to see a Drew McIntyre over here. His contract status, I don’t know, I can’t speak on it, but I heard it’s not fully….I think Drew McIntyre can work anywhere in the world. He’s proven that before. That’s why WWE wanted him back so badly to the transformation he made because he can work anywhere and do anything with anybody. He would be a major fit in AEW.”

As Swerve rightly pointed out, Drew McIntyre’s contract status is currently up in the air and the former WWE champion himself has refused to shed any light on the conversation amidst WrestleMania season going on.

Drew McIntyre is set for a high-stakes title match against Seth ‘Freakin’ Rollins for the World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania 40 Night 2. Moreover, he has regained his momentum and immense popularity among fans with his menacing antics, primarily targeted towards The Best in the World, CM Punk. So, hopefully, we might get some clarity on the subject following the conclusion of WrestleMania in two weeks.
