Many names may come and go but there will never be another wrestling mastermind like Paul Heyman. The latter currently serves as the Wiseman to Roman Reigns and The Bloodline and is set to be inducted into the Hall of Fame this year

Since the announcement, numerous wrestling stars and veterans have expressed their love for the work Heyman has done in the past decade. With his excellent work as manager to the likes of CM Punk, Brock Lesnar, and now Roman Reigns, the veteran deserves to get his flowers.

Addressing his contribution to the wrestling industry, former WWE superstar Rob Van Dam thanked Heyman for his work. The AEW star, during a recent episode of the ‘1 of Kind’ podcast, stated that Heyman changed the wrestling business as a whole with his immense work in the industry.

The Hall of Famer also praised the Wiseman for his incredible work in ECW and the incredible leadership he displayed with his move to WWE. RVD also stated that Heyman’s career has been growing since his debut in WWE and will continue to grow until he chooses to call it a day.

“It’s pretty cool they’re giving him his flowers because he was the man. He’s the one that made ECW happen. It’s not just him, but he’s the guy that made everything possible. It couldn’t happen without him. He changed the business. He set new standards. ECW is because of him, his leadership, his braveness, his passion, his artistic direction. All of that is like, ‘Thank you, Paul. Thank you, Paul.’”

“At the same time since he’s been in WWE, man, he’s just moving right up. I knew when I was there back then and we were bringing the ECW back and all that, he didn’t get a lot of respect, in the way of, the other agents didn’t like ECW. They were trying to fight it, didn’t want it to come in and they were giving them a hard time…In ECW, he ran everything and to see him do that on the bigger platform of WWE and to know he’s making bank for all those dreams and sacrifices from back in the day, it paid off in that direction.”

RVD’s comments on Paul Heyman’s work in the wrestling industry might just be a small part of what the latter has done. Heyman will be inducted into the Hall of Fame on the night before WrestleMania 40, receiving one of the highest honors in the industry. Stay connected to Ringside News to get the latest updates on WWE.
