The eagerly awaited moment unfolded at the onset of AEW Big Business when Mercedes Mone made her monumental debut, greeted by an outpouring of fanfare. Her arrival fulfilled the eager anticipation of fans worldwide. With her transition to AEW, it seems the company is fostering a direct relationship with Warner Bros Discovery.

According to PWInsider, one individual close to the situation highlighted Mercedes Mone’s debut on Dynamite, which drew in a million viewers, as evidence of successful execution. However, they also noted that AEW will need to undertake substantial efforts to capitalize on this momentum.

AEW’s collaboration offers Mone an opportunity to cultivate a direct relationship with Warner Bros. Discovery, potentially granting access to their extensive film and television franchises.

‘One person close to the situation pointed out that Mone brought in a million viewers for her debut on Dynamite as proof in execution, but also stated that there will need to be a lot of work to be done as AEW tries to capitalize on that.   AEW also provided a chance for Mone to build a direct relationship with Warner Bros. Discovery as well as potential access to their film and television franchises.”

Moreover, there is a belief that AEW would be more receptive to Mone pursuing acting endeavors, particularly if she requires time off for her role in the forthcoming Star Wars: Mandalorian & Grogu feature film or any other projects demanding her full attention. The fact that AEW can offer support to Mone in ways WWE might not currently provide played a role in her decision to sign.

”There was also a belief that AEW would be far more open to Mone working on acting, especially if she needed to take a period of time off for the forthcoming Star Wars: Mandalorian & Grogu feature film or any other projects that could require her full attention.  The fact that AEW could provide support for Mone in a way that WWE likely could not at this juncture was a factor in her signing, as we are told that Mone has built a team around her to assist her in maintaining her physical, mental and emotional health – and that AEW provided all signs they would work in conjunction with that team.”

Mercedes Mone’s AEW move is also expected to amplify the women’s division in the company. Therefore, it remains to be seen just how much Mercedes Mone will ultimately benefit AEW in the long run.
