Becky Lynch’s fame in WWE may be widely recognized, but before she became The Man in the wrestling ring, she ventured into the world of acting.

In recent interview with The New York Post, Lynch reminisced about her time living in New York City, where she worked as a waitress while harboring aspirations for a bigger stage.

She reflected, saying, “I figured, ‘Maybe I can get into the theater space somehow, maybe something will take off.’ It didn’t, but I did make a lot of connections, and I did make memories that last a lifetime.”

Lynch’s journey took her to Chicago in 2011, where she enrolled at Columbia College to pursue acting. Initially intending to return to New York City, fate had other plans for her.

Just weeks before she was scheduled to move back to the Big Apple, Lynch found herself immersed in stunt work for the TV show ‘Vikings’. Her preparation for the role led her to a wrestling gym owned by a friend.

It was during her training for ‘Vikings’ that Lynch’s path unexpectedly veered towards WWE. Encouraged by those around her, she decided to try out for the wrestling giant, eventually signing a developmental deal in 2013.

Lynch’s journey from the acting world to the wrestling ring is a testament to the unpredictable twists and turns of life. It’s a reminder that sometimes, the most remarkable opportunities arise when we least expect them.
