Paul Walter Hauser is a big name in ‘Cobra Kai’ and has already been part of professional wrestling for a while. In fact, Paul Walter Hauser hopes to finish his story in AEW one day.

On the January 23, 2023 episode of AEW Rampage, Paul Walter Hauser, known for his Golden Globe and Emmy-winning performances, found himself in the midst of the action as he was confronted by Jay Lethal, Sonjay Dutt, and Jeff Jarrett. The confrontation escalated, culminating in Jarrett smashing a guitar over Hauser’s head.

Reflecting on his appearance on Insight with Chris Van Vliet, Paul Walter Hauser shared his thoughts on the moment.

“The moment Sonjay Dutt grabbed my shirt, I’m like, ‘I’m slapping this guy.’ Jay Lethal just ‘wham’ and I went down. Then, I saw the guitar.”

Hauser was asked if the guitar spot was planned, to which Hauser responded that Jarrett was just being Jeff Jarrett. Hauser decided to take the hit, thinking, “I’m not going to back down from this.” Despite feeling a bit shocked, he took the hit and heard a ringing in his ear for a few seconds.

Hauser acknowledged that Jarrett was going for it with the guitar smash. Reflecting on the storyline with the Golden Globe trophy, Hauser mentioned that they had planned for a blowoff but it didn’t happen. Eventually, he reached out to Tony Khan to retrieve the trophy, emphasizing that it was the real one.

Hauser expressed hope for finishing that storyline but remained uncertain. He praised Tony Khan for his support, generosity, and kindness, highlighting his invitations to shows and the Gorilla position. Hauser described Khan as the epitome of kindness and generosity.

“Jarrett, legit, just being Jeff Jarrett. I was like, ‘I’m going to take it.’ I was not going to not take it. I was also like ‘oh s***.’ Bam. Heard a ringing in my ear for six or seven seconds. It didn’t hurt as much, but I heard a ringing in my ear and I was down for the count. He was going for it. They took the Globe, had it for a while, and my whole thing was, we’re going to do a blowoff. Didn’t happen. After a while, I hit up Tony [Tony Khan], ‘I have to get my trophy back. You can’t keep hanging onto it.’ It was the real one. I hope we get to finish that story. I don’t know if we ever will. Tony [Tony Khan] has been super cool, always helping me, ‘here’s some tickets to the show, come hang out.’ He’ll invite me to Gorilla. He’s the mensch of all mensches. He’s the man.”
