Timeless Toni Storm has to be credited as going from being one of the most underutilized talents in WWE to reigning as a top attraction in the wrestling world for her stint in AEW. With a huge championship bout looming, Storm is also close to clinching an incredible feat in AEW.
The former WWE star had a major career resurgence ever since her arrival to the land of All Elite. Toni won her first Women’s title in AEW back at the All Out event in 2022 in a huge Fatal-4 way match.
Toni Storm has battled the likes of Jamie Hayter, Hikaru Shida, and Willow Nightingale during her time as the champion, while also claiming the AEW Women’s World championship on three separate occasions.
The current AEW Women’s World champion is set to defend her championship against the company’s newest signee, The Virtuosa Deonna Purrazzo at the company’s upcoming pay-per-view, AEW Revolution.
With her next title match, Timeless Toni Storm will have her ninth defense on a pay-per-view show, being the second-highest record in the women’s division. The AEW star currently ahead of Storm in this aspect is Dr. Britt Baker D.M.D with ten title defenses.
Moreover, with the build-up towards the event seeing Deonna Purrazzo gaining the upper hand on the champion on multiple occasions, there is a high probability that Toni Storm might not be able to surpass Britt Baker’s record. We will have to wait and see what goes down at AEW Revolution.
As a reminder, Ringside News will be providing live play-by-play coverage of the event in our AEW Revolution hub. Keep checking back for any late breaking news, rumors and spoilers heading into the show.
