Sting has been a mainstay of AEW television since December 2020, and he will be ending his career this week. Ahead of his highly anticipated retirement match, CM Punk decided to give some love to The Stinger.
Sting is scheduled to compete in his last match on March 3rd at AEW Revolution 2024. The WWE Hall of Famer will partner with Darby Allin to defend their AEW Tag Team Championships in a tag team tornado match against the Young Bucks.
The entire world of professional wrestling has been paying tribute to Sting prior to his retirement match. Therefore, it comes as no surprise that CM Punk did the same, as he took to his Instagram story and made it clear he is grateful to Sting.
”Respect. Grateful.”
Sting will also main event the AEW Revolution pay-per-view and his involvement in the match has also been revealed. We’ll have to see whether The Stinger will end up winning his last-ever match at AEW Revolution.
