Sting has been a part of AEW for over three years and is currently engaged in a significant storyline anticipated to culminate with his retirement this week. Darby Allin has been with Sting since the very beginning, and now he has revealed his future plan after Sting retires.

Allin is scheduled to defend the AEW World Tag Team Championship alongside The Icon against The Young Bucks at the Revolution 2024 Pay-Per-View. The undefeated tag team is seeking revenge against Matthew and Nicholas Jackson for their brutal attack earlier in February.

While speaking in an interview with the Fanatics View podcast, the former TNT Champion discussed his future aspirations following Sting’s retirement match at Revolution 2024.

Darby Allin disclosed his ambition to capture the AEW World Championship and become the face of the Jacksonville-based promotion.

“When I get back.. If I get back [from Mt. Everest].. So the thing is, like, I want to be the face of this company. And in order to be the face of this company you need to have that [AEW] World Championship. So.. that’s the next goal. World Champion.”

Sting will also main event the AEW Revolution pay-per-view on March 3rd. Nevertheless, only time will tell whether Darby Allin will eventually become the AEW World Champion someday.
