The Rock had promised the arrival of greatness on SmackDown and he delivered just that by issuing one of the biggest WrestleMania challenges of all time while endorsing his iconic cousin, Roman Reigns in a huge way.

The Great One and The Bloodline opened tonight’s edition of SmackDown in Glendale, Arizona looking to respond to Cody Rhodes’ challenge made at the WWE Elimination Chamber PLE for a one-on-one showdown against The Rock.

The Rock declined the proposal, not before countering it with a blockbuster tag team showdown pitting himself and Roman Reigns against the team of Cody Rhodes and his rival-turned-ally and current World Heavyweight Champion, Seth Rollins for Night 1 of WrestleMania 40.

Just as the People’s champion was about to conclude his statement in his iconic Rock style, the Tribal Chief stopped him right there with the crowd erupting in shock and stared down his legendary family member with an intense look.

Hearing The Rock’s challenge for WrestleMania Night 1, Reigns proclaimed that he would do anything for his family, but needed one thing from his powerful cousin. It was nothing but for him to acknowledge Roman Reigns.

While many thought that it would lead to some sort of altercation considering The Rock’s magnanimous aura and star power combined with his heel roots, The Brahma Bull instead proved true to his blood and acknowledged Roman Reigns as his Tribal Chief to end the segment.

Do you think The Rock endorsing Roman Reigns puts them in a much more powerful position as they potentially team up together at WrestleMania 40? Sound off in the comments!
