WWE Hall of Famer Eric Bischoff is one of the most respected veterans in the pro wrestling business, as many believe his mind for the industry is invaluable. He has been a major critic of AEW for the past couple of years and he has recently stated that he would rather chew his arm off than watch AEW programming regularly.

Last year, the former WWE executive called AEW a ‘vanity project.’ In fact, Easy E even repeatedly criticized AEW for having poorly crafted storylines and having matches for the sake of it.

If it wasn’t clear already, Eric Bischoff isn’t the biggest fan of AEW. He doesn’t even believe AEW is contributing anything to the world of professional wrestling, unlike what WWE does.

While speaking on Strictly Business, Eric Bischoff stated that he struggled to watch AEW programming every week, adding that he would rather chew his arm off instead.

Do I watch the show every week? F**k no,” Bischoff said. “I’d rather chew off my arm than sit down for two hours of AEW; it’s that bad creatively for me. But I do drop in, I do follow certain aspects of AEW that either I’m interested in or I want to better understand for the purposes of doing this show, for example.”

Bischoff pointed out that his regular co-host, Jon Alba, often counters his critiques of AEW by mentioning that he doesn’t watch the show every week. Nevertheless, Bischoff had his own response to that statement.

“I don’t have to watch the f**king product,” Bischoff said. “I don’t have to sit down and watch two hours. I’ve been in the business for a minute or two.”

We will have to wait and see whether Eric Bischoff will ever have something to say about AEW as a whole again. Judging by his recent comments, that seems highly unlikely at the moment.
